  • Procrastination And The 10 (Oops, not 10..only 6) Things That I Miss..

    Hey people! Sorry for the REALLY REALLY REALLY late update. I know it's been a year plus (some say it has been AGES since I last updated.. Not true! Haha.) already since I last updated. It's my bad. Plz forgive me ok. (God commands us to forgive others just as we need His forgiveness. ) Will try my best to update more often now. As long as I update in less than 'a year plus', I've kept my word ok..Hahaha.

    I have sooo many things in my mind tat I want to write about, to update you guys & girls about, but since I don't have much time to blog, I thought of summarising what had happened to me in the 'year plus' of silence : "The 6 Things That I Miss..." (It's supposed to be "The 10 things", but sigh, gotta sleep already.)

    1. I miss my family, my mum's (and dad's) cooking. Thankfully I get to eat at my grandma's place almost every weekend here in KL..if not I'll just grow skinnier & skinnier. XD I miss the warmth of my home, Edrea's crappy & fun personality and Evan's brother-liness (sorry ko, dunno how to articulate what I mean..Haha.)

    2. I miss Eklektos youth! (Not forgetting E3, and E1, E2, E4, E5 & E6!! Haha.) Every Saturday evening, I feel like as if I'm missing something, but yet I'm not. Oh, you guys & girls back there have blessed me so so much during my 8-month break! :) I pray that you all will keep your faiths on "HIGH" & the excellent spirit going. Don't forget to pray lots (remember our experiences of the power of prayer?!) & support & love one another. Yay! :D Oh ya, before I forget..remember my bull shirt that was splashed with whip cream. The smell is still there till today eventho the countless washings..oh no! Haha. Dun worry, it reminds me of you guys. Haha.

    3. I miss hanging out with my friends back in KK (mostly the youth, since most of my classmates & friends that are as OLD as me have already left for studies..). I miss our movie outings, yum-cha sessions, jogging, swimming & basketball and pool games (I didn't forget u Oscar..haha.) I also kinda miss the teasing ('wise' la, 'nerd' la, 'banana' la..) Haha. But don't tease me when I come back though. Lol. I've gotten to know some of you much much better, and I'd say..it's a blessing to have friends like you all!

    4. I miss my JC life in Singapore. When others ask me how was my 2 years of studies in Singapore, I would tell them "It was fun..& I learnt a lot!" When asked to be honest whether it was a stressful 2 years, I would agree that it was kinda stressful. But what made those 2 years fun were the people there! I miss the noisy-ness of Room 203, the wild activities we had (many of which i managed to escape because I was handling the camera..Haha!), the football games in the runned-down basketball court behind McNair, the chats over dinner & supper (mostly nonsense & racist jokes - you know who the culprits are..Haha, but some sensible stuff sometimes), the outings with Mr. Wong, the tennis trainings, the S01 outings, Elim Radi8 youth & the 'lively' 201 that I visit every now and then..Haha. Many more! (Sorry if I did not mention..) My memories of Singapore will live on.. Hope to visit you guys in Singapore soon. :)

    5. I miss friends that are overseas, esp. those whom I'm close to. Take care of yourselves & always remember that you're malaysian! Haha. (Come on la, we're Malaysians wat! XD) God bless you all.

    6. I miss thin textbooks! This is a picture of my text book for Foundation 1 (first semester of med. course). Back in secondary school or JC it used to be one book like that for the whole year or 2 years. Haha. Anyways, medicine is really fun. :) (I'm trying to promote the course now as you can see..Haha) God, help me to study hard! *Also help me to remember to spend time with You. --> MOST IMPORTANT. 


    People actually make this thing their wives for the first 4 months of med. school..Haha. It's called Marieb btw. :)

  • Believing is seeing...

    “Seeing is believing”…thats what the world likes to say.. I mean it does sound perfectly logical right? Unless u see something, there’s no point in believing in it.

    A few weeks back, my church pastor spoke on this topic titled “believing is seeing”. He spoke about how we will see great and unimaginable things when we believe in God. For us humans, seriously speaking..it is kinda difficult for us to live out this phrase. Some of us might even be stunned with such a phrase. How is this possible? How is that possible? Aiya, impossible lah! Keep going...but let me say something now alright…WITH MY (OUR) GOD, ALL THINGS ARE POSSIBLE (that is if it is according to His will..musn’t forget that important part.=) We can’t expect God to grant us something that we selfishly or sinfully desire right?)

     

    Got a short testimony to share now. My tennis team won our 3rd/4th match today. And we could go around with all the whoo-haaa and say that we’re all good and that, but I tell you, without God’s help, we would be nowhere near what we achieved today. Today, I’ve yet again seen how God so faithfully answers the prayers of those who believe in Him (It does not mean that if He does not answer our prayers then He does not exist. He has His own reason for everything.) I’ve yet again seen how an impossible and difficult situation can be turned over by my God. All it needs is that little faith, saying “God, I trust in You. You can do it for me. (Then smile.)” that comes without doubt.

     

    Before I came to Singapore, Cyrus reminded me of a verse that talks about how so many great people in the Bible –> they put their faith in God for things that they did not even see in their lifetime. Awesome stuff eh?! Believing is seeing. 

     

    Want to experience it? All it takes is just some believing.

    Do check out Jeremiah 32:27 and Ephesians 3:20. Hope these verses will encourage u all.

     

    “Now to him who is able to do immeasurably more than all we ask or imagine, according to his power that is at work within us…” (Eph. 3:20)

  • The Reason for Being in Singapore..?

    Really sorry for the few months of not posting. Even this one is really short. Do forgive me. After this, I need to prepare for Chem test and GP test tomoro..=B

    This few months has brought a lot of challenges..Lots of it way beyond what I can handle..Time and time again God has shown me that He is a faithful God. Thank you God, I love You. Somehow, I don't feel the same as before. I feel that I am so easily distracted at times, and its so easy for me to get irritated. I wonder what happened to the huge amount of concentration I had in the past. At times, I look back and say..I want some part of the old me!! =( Things change. Guess I gotta toughen up and move on. 

    Walking with God is not easy. Gotta put lots of effort into it, just like when u get a girlfriend I guess.. On my part, I guess I have to work on it. At points of time in your life, you will come to realise that God is your only source of strength and hope. Guess that's all part of growing up..when your friends and family are not there for you anymore. Sometimes I wish I had my good ol' buddies, mum and dad around me to spur me on and straighthen me up when things are not ok..  but then again, I have to go through this phase of life.

    Lord, You put me here in Singapore..in SAJC..in McNair for a reason. I dunno what that reason may be. To teach me how to be tougher? To teach me how to depend on You more? To teach me to love? Whatever tat reason may be..it may be beyond my understanding. But one thing Lord I ask..grant me the strength to carry through all this. Let me end this race to see You smiling at the finish line.

    I hope these verses inspire you just as it inspires me. "Yet I am always with You; You hold me by my right hand. You guide me with Your counsel, and afterward You take me into glory. Whom have I in heaven but You? And earth has nothing I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever."

  • Nineteen

    Wow...i'm 19 already..so fast! The last year of my teens..oh no!! =P

    Before i went to sleep last night (was quite late..around 1 a.m.), i just took some time to think about the 19 years that has already passed. Thought about my birthday last year...and all the birthdays that i could remember. Thought about how much i have grown up, not just physically, but also in my personality, emotions and my walk with God. I wanna thank God for guiding me thro' all those years~

    My friends in the hostel surprised me last night (thanks so much guys!! appreciate it...). I seriously thought they would forget my b'day..since we've all just come back from holidays. The party was kind off simple..but meaningful. We just cut the cake, ate, and spent some time chit-chatting..
